After legal training, I was an in-house legal counsel in industry. By working on various cases with my colleagues, experts in export control, I gradually learned about the subject and finally considered a professional reorientation. Export control allows me to satisfy my curiosity and my passion for technology by working closely with the product. Indeed, export control requires a good understanding of the development and industrialisation of the product to determine its classification and then the applicable regime.
After several years in large aeronautics, space, and electronics groups, I chose to join a smaller company. This is how I acquired knowledge in different sectors of activity on a wide variety of products. I have also worked my way up the corporate ladder, from processing export licence applications to managing export control teams. I therefore have a cross-sectional view and practical experience of export control.
